Gifted this shade to my friend (who’s a POC). She says she doesn’t like wearing lip stick or gloss because her lips are so chapped and you can see the chapped lines through. When she tried this gloss on, she said it felt and looked great on her. I say it’s a win!
It feels so nice on the lips and the color is gorgeous. Perfect for everyday to glam looks!
I expected this formula to be similar to the Merit Lip Oil, which I liked. The formula is so much better than what I expected! It really nourishing but still has enough grip to stay on the lips without going everywhere. It definitely has more grip than the Merit Lip Oil, but it’s still soft. I bought 3 other lipsticks but I don’t feel like taking this off so I’ll try them later.
The packaging is stunning! The green cap seems to be made of silicone so it feels nice and soft when holding it.
The smell was a really nice touch. It reminds me of mango ice cream from Indian ice cream shops.
You hit it out of the park!
I had the Cherry Pie color and had to get the Watermelon color too. I love that it has warmer undertone and it givea just a hint of color to my lips. The feel is so creamy and buttery, and it is not sticky. I love this brand and am waiting for other makeup product releases! (*crossed fingers* for a mascara!!!)
This is just the best lipgloss, so creamy and a beautiful neutral color with a hint of sparkle!
I received my order of the full red wave collection and WOW. I am speechless!!! The quality is unreal. I’ve been an elevate beauty customer since the beginning and it just gets better and better. Very pretty if you’re a bold red girl! I think I still need to find a balance/way of blending mine to not be so dramatic. The color is RICH but gorgeous!
Love the color
My husband got me this for my birthday and I was so excited to try it because I love supporting brands like this and I love lipstick! After using it for over a month I feel I have a
thorough opinion on it now.
I want to emphasize that there is a lot to love about this lipstick. but there are a few things I didn’t love and that’s ok because no product is perfect and I do still happily reach for this product.
Things I love:
- the strawberry red color is divine! It is my perfect red and also perfect for Christmas
- the formula is comfy and lightweight
- it is opaque but thin
- it smells amazing but not too strong which I like
- the transfer isn’t too bad
What I didn’t love
- unfortunately this doesn’t layer too well. When I tried to wear more than one coat it would kind of crack and look a little crusty.
- it is a bit dry but not too bad at first. I tend to have pretty dry lips so for me it got more uncomfortable the longer it was on. Layering gloss or balm could help.
- without a lip liner or lip stain it has a tendency to bleed / feather
- it’s not transfer proof, so you will get the red ring on cups and straws and on your kid’s foreheads lol
I personally find reviews with photos quite helpful so I hope this helps someone else.
In the green sweater photo I’m wearing the lipstick with a red lip liner. In the Rudolph shirt photos the brighter red is one coat of the lipstick without liner or anything, freshly applied, and the darker red is two coats.
Oh my gosh, I am so blown away at how unbelievably GORGEOUS this red shade is. Ah!! Every time I catch myself in the mirror, I'm like "WOAH!" It's absolutely stunning. My favorite red I've ever worn.
